Awesome video. My friend dented her rear bumper pretty bad. I can get the replacement for $50 to $80 brand new. The new one is black. Does that mean it is primed and ready to be painted? I also heard that different color primers will determine the outcome of how well your paint matches. Is this true? If so how do I tell which primer will give me the best match in the end? I’m having a problem removing the screw at around the 2:30 mark or so. The screw head rusted, so I’m able to get it to move with a pair of needle nose locking players, but the plastic that it screwed into also turns. I put some PD Blaster on it overnight to see if that will help it let loose! Any other ideas? Thanks, Dave!

Thank you. This works for the 2013 Camry too. I just want to add that, at least on the 2013 Camry, you do not have to remove all the push pins along the top edge, only two. The two that need to be removed are the second in at each end. At 3:43 you will see two push pins shown and the screwdriver is pointing at the one that needs to be removed. The same on the other end. If you look closely you will see that these two are slightly different than the others. They are longer and a bit larger because they connect to the headlight assembly. If you do remove all the pins be sure to get these two back in the correct locations.

I noticed there was no black protective trim/strip on the top of the new bumper cover where the 4 trim studs went in, was this an extra part you decided not to replace?

I just finished replacing my bumper and I wanted to say thank you again. I watched your video probably six times to make sure I did everything correctly. The car come out looking incredible and it only cost me a few hundred dollars for what insurance was prepared to pay some body shop $2,400 to do. Again thank you for all the help and I sure am glad I found your video.

Nice video, but, and believe me i am not a hater, but a professionnal auto mechanic for over 30 year, and this is a good how-to, but a few things came to my eyes. This would have been so much easier for you if done with the right tools, and in the proper way. First, you need to get yourself a body clip removal too, so much more easier to pop them out, and prevents damaging them, second, the 10mm bolt behind the door is easier to work with a ratcheting wrench instead of a fixed wrench. Third, you might want to protect your bumper edges with a rag, before removing it and intalling it back on the truck, scratch prevention here buddy, especially on a car with that type of back door, which is in your way! Fourth, you should have installed the red bumper reflectors before installing the new bumper, easier for you as you don't have to work from the ground with your arms up! This my friend all comes with experience, to save you trouble, and time, have a good one! ;-)

Question on the 2012 RAV4 Sport bumper cover. How do you remove the trim pieces on either side that attach to the bumper cover? Are they screwed on or do they use plastic snap in clips?

Why would you have a video on how to put a bumper on but not take it off? Especially when you have to take one off to put one on in the first place. Fail video at its best.

now i'm trying to take off the bumper but my accord sedan has these circular rim and the wheel area connects with the black mud guard and it looks like i have to take them off first before i can disconnect the bumper from the body. How can i go about to do so?

Not enough information on how the sides come out and clip back into the side panels.
